Herbs and Fertility

I had a D&C on the 20th of Dec. after finding no h/b at 8 weeks. I am waiting for AF now but obviously anxious to get started. We are a little aprehensive for fear of another m/c though my ob said it would be unlikely for it to happen again due to our good health and no other abnormalities found after my procedure.

I am curious about using herbs to enhance the environment in my body so that concepion will be more favorable. I have been researching herbs and have been hearing about vitex a lot. Any suggested supplements found to be useful? We would really like to wait for AF but its so tempting not to...

I have heard that D. Quia is good for fertility but, make sure that you are chartting because it is not to be taken while pregnant. Just be careful and do your reasearch.

Be careful with D Quia.  (Isn't that funny that they blocked that out of your post?)  I've heard that it thins your blood so you really need to be tracking when you O so you can avoid taking it after that.  Let me know how things work out for you.

I'm so sorry about your m/c.  Vitex is really good at regulating your cycle and promoting healthy O.  It's been around forever and has a good track record.  Red Raspberry Leaf is really good at strengthening your uterus.  I buy the Yogi tea and drink about 2 cups a day.  There was a study done on green tea too and it's supposed to help with fertility.  You could also check into the benefits of Vitamin B6, just be careful with that one b/c too much is not good.  I'm a big believer in having a healthy diet too.  Try to eliminate soy and sugar b/c there have been studies that these two things can contribute to infertilty.  They are contreversial studies, but I figure it's best to avoid it anyway.  Also, if you can afford it, switch to organic dairy products.  There are so many chemicals and hormones given to cows and it ends up in our food too.  I don't eat meat, but if you do see if you can buy organic.  Hope this helps some.
