Horrible cramps

The first and second days of my period I get HORRIBLE cramps to the point where I want to vomit, can't walk, sleep or do anything. I try ibuprofen and it never helps. Is this normal?

I don't usually get better with ibuprofen either. Try Aleve (naproxen) because it's stronger. That usually takes the edge off. At least it's something to try until you can get in to see the doctor. My doctor prescribed 550mg naproxen which is like taking 2 Aleve.

For some period symptoms vary but if you are having periods that interfere with your days and can't be helped then you should see a docotor. I personally get bad cramps that make me throw up and i can't move it's so bad i cry so i had to get a specific medicine perscribed for it
