Miscarried Friday

On Friday, 12/28 I went through one of the hardest situations of my life... My husband and I had been trying so hard for 6 months to have a baby, we finally found out I was 5 weeks 3 days pregnant then I had a miscarriage. I have been in a lot of pain since then, I understand the pain and bleeding will be around for a while, but my lower back - where my hips and spine meet, hurts so bad, is this part of the miscarriage? It hurts so bad to the point where I can't even move.

It is indeed very emotionally devastating, especially since a very close couple to the family had a baby boy on January 2nd and it is just so painful to see babies, hear them cry, but I am trying my best to be strong and help out our friends. The pain has gone away and I am beginning to feel a little more like myself (physically), as for the bleeding, some days are worse than others but "this too shall pass". It is so wonderful to know that there are people on this website who are there to help and give advice to people during their time of need. God bless you and specialmom.

Hi there and welcome.  Well, I'm so very sorry about the miscarriage.  I know that hurts your heart tremendously since you've been trying for a baby.  Please know that many women miscarry and go on to have healthy, beautiful children.  You will too!

Yes, I'd say that pain is due to the cramping from the miscarriage.  I'd take ibuprofen and if it gets too bad, call your doctor about it.  I wish you much luck and again, so sorry for your loss.  Peace to you and your partner.
