How likely is it for me to get pregnant?

I have been dating my boyfriend for 3 years now and just recently had sex for the first time. We can't do it very often but I am planning to get on the pill soon so we can. I am currently using spermicidal condoms and monitoring my menstrual cycle as carefully as possible, but I always seem to worry about becoming pregnant. He doesn't regularly come inside me so I was just wondering if it is foolish of me to worry so much about it.

Why not do an IUD, if you can't get on the pill?  It's available at Planned Parenthood, as is the pill of course.

Spermicidal condoms is fine, the spermicide helps with the 80% success rate posted for condoms, make it better than 80% (I just don't know how much better).

If used properly the condoms will protect you from getting pregnant, and the odds extremely slim for you to get pregnant.
