I can not find my tapon...?

When , I went to the bathroom(bowel movement). Then I got into the shower and I realised that my tapon was gone. I'm not sure where it went. Is it possible that the tapon either; went inside me or came out in the toilet? I'm not sure what to do...

Hello,
The tampon may have come out. However I would advise consulting a gynecologist for the lost tampon because manual exploration on your own can cause the tampon to go further up in the cervix or uterus. A gynecologist can apply sim’s speculum and easily locate the lost tampon during pevic examination. Please consult a gynecologist soon as any delay can cause pelvic inflammatory disease or infections.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

If you can't find it when squatting, you could see your ob-gyn and have him or her look for it.  Lost-tampon appointments are not uncommon, so don't be embarrassed.
