itchy vagina!

My vagina is so itchy! It's only been a few days but it's so bad that it keeps me up at night. It all happened after I used a sex toy. I was not turned on and was not really "wet" down there but I was just trying to please my boyfriend. Ever since my vagina has seemed really irritated and swollen with itching that is unbearable. I also am not having vaginal discharge (but honestly I usually don't have any or very little discharge anyway so I'm not concerned about that) the sex toy was made out of silicone so I highly doubt it gave me an infection. Is it because I was dry down there trying to put a toy in that it would cause all this to happen? Please help!

Hello. Itchy vaginas suck. Believe me I've been there. It sounds to me like you either had an allergic reaction to the silicone or you have a yeast infection. In my late teens and 20's I used to get yeast infections all the time. Sometimes the appearance of the actual yeast didn't show up for a few days. I just had a lot of itching, redness and swelling. Try applying a bag of ice, wrapped in a towel or a cold wash cloth. Either way you should make an appointment with your gyno and get it checked out. Good luck

Yes, I agree, you could be having a reaction to the material of the sex toy.  Bummer.  Or you could have a yeast infection as well.  So, yes.  Agree to see your doctor for proper diagnosis and RELIEF!  good luck
