I had my period early on birth control.

I've taken my a few of my pills late (by a few hours) the start of this month. i have been taking them on time since then. About two weeks ago i left for a trip to visit family. When I landed I noticed I had some brown spotting and thought it strange. I kept an eye on it the next day. I started to have cramps then it seemed I was on my period about two weeks early. Now it is time that i'm taking my placebo pills and i'm scared my normal period wont start because I had it early. Also my early period ended a few days ago and i'm still seeing brown spotting.
Should I be worried about any of this?

Hormonal birth control is notorious for messing up periods!
I have had 2 periods in one month before and even skipped a month on the pill.
I wouldn't be overly concerned unless you think you might ne pregnant.
