Not everyone has regular 28-day cycles. Some women have longer cycles, and some have irregular cycles. Also, other things besides pregnancy can affect your cycle, ovarian cysts and stress being a couple of examples. Although it is never a bad idea to take a pregnancy test when you are late, since you don't have records of your own personal average cycle length, you can't really be sure if you are late. In any case, go ahead and take a pregnancy test if you have been sexually active since January 19th. It's easy enough to check.
Thank you, you are so right i dont really know my average cycle length. After this I will surely start paying more attention. Thanks again for your advice.
I agree with annieBrooke, u shud start focusing on ur cycle..but first take a test to rule out the pregnancy...
Good luck :)
It can be really interesting to chart your cycles on graph paper (starting a new line with each new period). It makes a bar graph of your cycle activity over many months that is useful for understanding your particular body's rhythm. I even used to use a little triangle for the days with clear, copious mucus (indicating ovulation) and a little lightning bolt for days with right ovary or left ovary pain (as I would often have ovarian cysts after ovulating). You can get a heck of a lot of info from one of those charts, from the basic (If I go camping that week, will I be having a period?) to the advanced (what day should I have sex in order to get pregnant?) Give it a try.
Take care.
Thanks all the info seems very helpful. Im new to all this so, focusing on my cycle pattern is a good idea. I sign up on a program that helps monitor these things and lets you know when you should expect your cycle and when your ovulating stuff like that. Thanks, still waiting to see my visitor though. The wait seems unbareable, i guess i will go get a test today.
Still no signs of aunt flow coming. I did take a test it came out negative. So i'm at a loss of words. The Woman's Body is a complicated thing.
