I want to stop my menstrual cycle for 8 days
Hi,
Anybody can help me on this... i'm 27 year ol lady not married no kids, I want to stop my menstrual cycle for 8 days, As i had my periods on 09/26/2011 and the same dates i will be travaling next month to see my boyfriend. Will alo have lot of water activities and will alo have intercourse with him. So just want to stop for a while. So i can chill out my vacation with my boyfriend. Please answer soon.

I wanted to do this once as I was going on a Caribean holiday and didn't want to have my period during that time. My Dr. gave me a depo provera shot (she knew that was why I wanted it) and it worked. I had the shot about a week or so before my trip. It's not guaranteed to be effective, but it worked for me. See your Dr. and ask about it. Do keep in mind thought that when used this way, it is NOT effective as a means of birth control. Good luck.
Your period is controlled by the hormones in your body, so if you take the birth control pill you can prevent your body from having the dip in hormones that causes you to have a period, therefore skipping your period.
Though you may want to find out why your mom does not like this guy before thinking about marrying him. Sometimes those on the outside looking in can see things that we miss about a person. What is it about him that your parents don't agree with?

Thanks for all the help.. I dont want to have sex while chumming.. Because that not teh guy i might marry. He does not want to marry me if he will he will take another 3 years. He is 1 yr younger to me and will take time to marry and... m y parents also do not want me to get married to him.. So i am just going to have fun and good time.. hopefull the BC donot have side effects. it should not happen that in future i get married aftre 2 to 3 yrs and then i have some ovarian problem and cant give birth to a baby. Will it have bad effect. .

As the others said, BC would be the only way to stop it and you would already have had to been using it for it to work. Why can't you have sex on your period? Couples do it quite frequently, you just have to make sure you use something underneath you.
The ONLY way to stop your period is by taking birth control. YOU may NOT being using it to stop pregnancy, BUT you can use it for that. Pretty sure it's the only way to stop it.

Do you take birth control??? IF so instead of taking your blank pills when you would get your period, you can start taking the next months pills.
If you are on the birth control pill, you can continue to take the active pills to skip over your period. That is the only way to skip over a period, as nothing else can do that.
