I'm not sure if I have a Yeast Infection or if it is something more serious?

more than a day ago I started feeling a little uncomfortable down below, That night it got alot worse and I was unable to sleep. It was itchy on the inside, unbearably itchy and I didn't know what to do. I don't know if any of you have tried to scratch the inside of your vagina. It just doesn't work! I decided to check with a mirror and to my disbelief I found quite an unpleasant sight. Inside was full of white discharge (That doesn't seem to have any odour) which seemed to be covering up some kind of mutated lump. With all the discharge its hard to make out whats going on and to be honest I don't check with a mirror often enough so it could have been there before and without the irritation I had not noticed it. I self diagnosed myself with having a Yeast Infection because I have had one prior to this about a year ago and I went through the same thing but after seeing this little lump my mind has started giving off mixed signals about what it actually could be.
Yesterday I went to the Pharmacy and told them about the ''Yeast'' and I was given a 10 day over the counter antibacterial tablet which you insert into your vagina every night. I did this last night and I had 3 hours sleep.
I am currently in Italy and its Sunday so its not the best day to try and find a doctor.
I would be greatful to hear if anyone else has gone through this and what they would recommend before I can try to find a doctor.

i'd also say yeast infection. a lot of women only get a couple of the symptoms and anti fungals (treatment for yeast infection) dont hurt. is your discharge white thick and cottage-cheese like? (look up pictures of yeast infection discharge and see if it matches) because it really could be the yeast infection. as for the bump, there are lots of folds and bumps that exist in  our vagina. if i were to look at mine, i could see a "bump" as well but that's normal and has always been there.only worry about the bump if it is the source of your irritation. yeast infection treatments could take 3days for symptoms to be relieved so wait a little bit and then decide to see a doctor. your health is important!

Thankyou this is really helpful! I am pretty sure thats what it is as the irritation wasn't there before and the discharge most certainly matches. I'm going to give the medicine a few more days to kick in and hopefully it will go off and I will get some sleep. Do you think the vaginal tablets alone will do the trick or I also need to take other medicine? The woman in the pharmacy said this was the fastest way to sort the problem but I have read about other drugs that take only a matter of days. I am using Gyno-Canesflor Vaginal capsules. (Currently in Italy)
Thanks again for your help!
