what's going on with my body?

I am 26 years old and I've never been pregnant. My period is always on time, I mark the dates on my calendar so I can keep track of when I am supposed to start. Because my boyfriend and I haven't been using any form of birth control, he just pulls out. My period was supposed to start on July 9 but it didn't start until  Monday July 16, late that night. At first I was relieved, but the bleeding was bright red and not very much. On Wednesday I stopped bleeding altogether. Now today, Thursday, I have had some dark brown blood. I've had cramps, swollen breasts and been extremely tired for over about a week now. I have taken three pregnancy tests and they have all been negative. Does anybody have any idea what's going on with my body? I'm so confused and would like to know if I'm pregnant or not.

Hi. Did you keep track of when you last had sex? The pull out method doesn't always work....but that doesn't mean you are pregnant. If you have regular periods you are supposed to ovulate about 14 days after the start of your last period. Sometimes light bleeding can mean implantation bleeding (which is when the fertilized eggs implants itself in the uterus). I don't want to worry you....but if you think you may be pregnant take another test in a couple of days and see how it turns out. Then maybe another one a couple of days after that or see your doctor for a blood test which is more accurate. It could mean nothing at all and that maybe you're just stressing about it. Stress can do strange things.

It doesnt sound like it to me. Just sounds like you had a light period and maybe it started late since you were stressed about it.
