How long to wait to take HPT after seeing implantation blood?

I am nursing my 9 month old, all night, and periodically during they day, he also eats almost everything.I am 36 and this is my 5th child. With all my past babies, I never started my period again post birth until about 18 months. I had been experiencing very strong lower back aching for about 3 days, thought I may have been trying to get my period.Had sex with my husband, shortly after when I used the restroom when I wiped there was blood, and again the following day just a tad when I wiped. It is now totally gone, was not a period. I dont know if I have ovulated because I have not had a period since birth...Could this be implantation blood? And if so, how long do I need to wait to take a hpt ? I realize after 5 kids I should know this, but this is new to me...Thank you!

It sounds like your little one might be nursing less nowadays, if he is eating table food. And though you didn't get a period till 18 months after your others, perhaps it is starting now? If it is implantation blood, I would imagine you could take an hpt pretty soon, just remember to do it with your first morning urine. Of course for a more accurate result you could see the doc for a blood test :)

It could have just been from having sex, OR implantation bleeding, or ovulation bleeding. IF it was implantation bleeding I'd say take a test tomorrow. BUT if you are it could still be NEG.
