Itch-Scratch-Itch...uncontrollable labia itch

H-E-L-P!!!

I've had this uncontrollable itch on my outer labia's for the past 7 years. Everyday I itch, I feel like a freak because I am always scratching (not in public). My labia gets sore from the scratching and I break skin often from scratching. I have tried everthing, but it doesn't go away. I know it's not an STD because I went to the doctor's and have been tested.  However they haven't helped me none.  The labia skin is thickened from the scratching, is very dry (white-like) and flaky (at times).  So are my inner thighs at the crease yet they do not itch that often. There are no bumps but my skin is raised, and I don't know what it is.  I thought about Lichen, but I do not see my vagina changing in that form, like the pictures that I have researched.  Please Please help me figure out what other problems there might be. I have been in the same relationship all this time.  Also, if you know any remedies for the itching, please send my way. I use All Free & Clear laundry detergent, and wash with warm water as I fell needed throughout the day. I also don't get my period often, I tied my tubes in 2003, so I don't take any BC. I am not on any medication.  Just looking for what else might there be...

Thanks, Itchy_Itchy

Look up Pudendal Neuralgia aka cyclists syndrome. I have used anesthetic ointment for 8 years, no skin problems. Xylocaine Oitment 5%, not Emla, Emla needs to be removed after 10 mins

Dear Katie, I have this itching thing going on since the past 10-12 years and have spent countless sleepless nights because of it. I have tried several creams as well which have only helped temporarily. Tonight again, I was dying of the itch  and started googling about it which led me to this thread.  I have all the ingredients for the solution except for the sea salt. I will get it tomorrow and let you know how it worked for me. I must tell you, even though I haven't tried the solution yet, I am very very hopeful. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe with us.

Like so many of the other ladies, I wanted to say how grateful I am for your solution to this awful itching.  I have only been experiencing it for a short time but it was totally driving me NUTS.  Was so very desperate in the middle of one night that I got up and did a Google search which led me to this thread.  Just until I could get to the shops and buy the things you mentioned, I used apple cider vinegar and this at least stopped the itch for the rest of that particular night.  I have used your method over the past three days and have absolutely no more itching, but will continue with the routine as I certainly don't want it back again - EVER!
I'm really curious Katie as to how you arrived at this solution?  However you did it, I'm truly grateful for your help.  Much love Val

Two years of itching and my Doctor saying 'you just have to learn to live with it', and yes this is working, could you tell me how long it will keep, as I find that using the amount that you give I have enough left over for a few nights, and I'm wondering if it will and ok to use.
Thank you very much, I was really getting to the end of my tether over this, losing sleep, getting depressed and quite ill tempered.
