Kegel Excersiser

I have problems with my urinary control.

I understand that the kegel excersiser can help to tone the pevloc floor muscle?

Is this correct?

I have researched http://www.natural-woman.com and they say that it is correct, but they sell the product, so they may not be correct.

Can anyone help?

Regards,
Christine.

I've heard that kegel exercise do help with bladder control and all sorts of things.  I'm not familiar with the "exerciser" that you mentioned.  I've always though Kegel exercise were something you did on your own, without any equipment.  Look into it more before you spend your money on something you may not need.

i have heard of a mini barbell-like thing you hold in place in your vagina, but i don't know if they are any more effective than you doing squeezing exercises on your own.

If it is a mini bar bell that you hold in place in your vagina, I personally think I'd rather do the exercises without it. That sounds like something to make you spend your money, not to mention risk of infection, and other complications. All the kegel exercises I've ever heard of are ones you do by yourself, without any equipment. I would search the web if I were you, I'm sure there is plenty of information there.

Yah, you do not need anything to help you do Kegals. It's kinda like sit-ups, your body is all you need.

Just flex the muscles that you hold when you are trying not to pee your pants. Count to 5 then release them. Do sets of 5 then 10. Then try it for 10 seconds. Work up from there. That should help alot.

Boy, I can relate to this one.  After my first baby, I had problems.  Did the kegels, but not much improvement.  I have had stess incontinence since I delivered naturally.  Wish I had had a c-section.  I have dealt with that for almost 10 years, and now I have urge incont. also.  I have discovered one thing, though, that weight loss does effect your bladder in a positive way.  Eventually, when I get the courage, I plan to have a bladder tack and get my tubes tied, but for now I am a big chicken.  I would not buy anything for the exercises.  If you have extra weight to lose, try doing that, along with the kegels.  Have you had a urodynamics study done?  I had it done (very humiliating).  That is another story.  I would also recommend a good urologist.  Someone that specializes and has dealt with many women with this particular issue.  There are options out there...

I can only speak to the steel barbell, because that's the only one I've tried. I can tell you it most definitely DOES improve tone - and it's an awesome gspot toy ;-) It is well worth the money. As for the others, they're probably all worthwhile. But no matter what you decide, the most important thing is to make sure you're doing your kegels right, and you do them consistently.
