Late period due to exercise

Hi everyone! I've been working out for months, mostly just jogging a mile three days a week. In January, I began HIIT workouts four days a week. I've never had a history of irregular periods, but this month I am two weeks late. I last had sex (protected) three months ago and have had three periods since, so pregnancy is practically ruled out. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I have an appointment Friday for a check up but I'm getting concerned since this never happens to me.

If you start to exercise with a drastic change, (know what I mean?) your period will take a while to become regular again. Anxiety and stress can also be a factor in the irregularity.

I'm experiencing something very similar. Last activity was in November and had regular December and January periods but I'm currently 8 days late. In the last few weeks I've gone on vacation, moved houses, and dealt with a lot of stress in personal life and work. I deal with anxiety and also have upped my workout game significantly since the start of this year. I'm hoping all of these things are the cause of my delayed period. It's frustrating bc I'm cramping and experiencing a lot of symptoms like I'm going to start any moment.
