Little red bump...ingrown hair or should i see a doctor?

I have a little red bump right above/at the line where my pubic hair starts and where my lower rise pants/underwear rest, but it is still an area I shave. I shave a few times a week so I am not sure if it could just be an ingrown hair or something more serious? It does not hurt at all, only if i pinch it does it hurt. I thought maybe it could be a zit so I tried pinching it a bit but it is not a zit I'm almost positive. It is a little rough to the touch but idk if that's only because I've pinched it (which I only did once or twice). It has been there for 2 or so weeks so far, it looks like there could be something trying to poke through on one side of it but I'm not sure. Could it be an ingrown hair? How long do those last how could I know? I also thought ingrown hairs always hurt so idk if maybe it isn't a hair? I'm getting worried. It is red at my skin level but the bump is more fleshy colored or pinkish and it is small in size (about the size of my birth control pill or a rounded pencil tip).

No prob!  They can be painful with or without irritation, so if it's not irritated right now don't bother it.

Sounds like an ingrown hair to me.  Since the hair that you've previously shaved has been broken off below the skin level it has began to grow back through the surrounding tissue rather than out of the follicle as it original was before being shaved.  Don't pinch it instead just wait until the tip of the hair pierces the skin and starts sticking out.  Then you can use tweezers to remove it and also try wearing loose fitting under ware so that you don't cause anymore irritation.  Best wishes and God bless as well!
