Massive Blood clots extreme pain... HELP!

So i'm 21 years old, I smoke and I drink occasionally, I go to school and lead a somewhat healthy lifestyle. So ... 2 weeks ago on a tuesday I got my periods (I wasn't supposed to get my period for another month) since the one for that month had already passed.. So I felt alot of blood 'squirt' out, thinking everything was normal, Then BAM this huge clot (a handful size) just fell out of me, the cramps started... AND IT WAS EXCRUCIATING I am not kidding you, i would rather my limbs be turned the other way... It was painful, and it would be for about 1-2hours.. then go away and I would be top notch again, This happened for 4 days, then I went to see my doctor and he said:'' this happens to women sometimes its the time of the season stuff like that he said it should go away today or tomorrow'' and it did... passed through the weekend fine passed through the week... then BAM it's thursday again... at 4pm I get the same kind of 'squirt' of blood... and the pain is 10x worse and it lasted more like 3-4 hours this time... it's gotten worse, I got a appointment with my doctor Saturday (we are thursday) .... I'll keep you all posted but someone please give me an idea of what i'm up against?

Thanks

-Nat

I would find a different dr if he thinks that is normal. Is it possible that you were pregnant? I dont really have any advice but I hope all is well.

jst doing my best to help that's all... I made a little research about ur interval bleeding which Menometrorrhagia.. U can research on that as well.. the best thing is to consult ur OB since u don't know if the bleeding is coming from ur uterus or ur other organs.. it definitely needs a closer looks and a professional opinion.. hope this helps..

Yes i am sexually active, no the pain isn't constant i said it only lasted for a few hours every night for usually 4 nights a week, it wouldn't be a pregnancy or misscarriage cause I said I had it for 4 days it stopped for a week then started up again, i don't go through pads when this happens i just sit on the toilet..... What's the similar situation?
