You can even get pregnant during your period. There's always a possibility but generally the best chance is two weeks before the start of your next period. So roughly in the middle. Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their period. Sperm can hang around for a few days though and the egg takes a few days to journey through the tubes. So a week either side of ovulation is also a good time, or bad time depending on whether you are trying for a baby or not. Hope this helps x
It is a very good time to get pregnant; it happened to me. Well, you know; I didn't have a clue.
The chance of getting pregnant revolves around your ovulation cycle. You can look it up on an ovulation tracker. Put in when your periods are and it will tell you when your best/worst chance at getting pregnant is basically.
If you have sex before the period is due, and the period comes as usual, then you are probably not pregnant. But having sex right after your period does not reduce the chances of getting pregnant, in fact, that's some pretty good timing for getting pregnant.
