NV diet pills?

My sister just started taking these vitamin/diet pills called NV. Carmon Electra endorces it I guess. My sister loves her so she thinks that it's ok to take these because she "says" she takes them.
I have always been very sceptical of any kind of diet pills. My sister is 22 and thinks that nothing will ever happen to her. Have any of you heard of these pills? Are they dangerous at all? I tried to look online to see what I could find out, but couldn't find any kind of reviews or anything. I don't know much about diet pills except for the stories our mother used to tell us about them to scare us away from them. She would say they would make our heart beat super fast, we would get addicted, they would ruin our organs etc. ect. I know some of my fear is probably due to the stories she would tell us. I was hoping that some of you would know something about this certain one. I guess it has hoodia (have no idea what that is) and green tea in it. I drink green tea every day but that doesn't mean these pills are not bad for you. Any feedback would be great. Thanks! (feel free to tell me that I'm over reacting as I probably am! :)

From what I have heard NV is not bad.  The ingredients are all natural and there is no caffeine or ephedrine in the pills.  Hoodia is an herb found in South Africa, many years ago hunters would eat this herb to supress their hunger while they hunted.  It is very effective and not harmful to the body.  They have had a lot of studies done regarding this drug on CNN and the Oprah show.  People really are attracted to the Hoodia drug becuause of the ingredient that causes us not to feel hungry.   So I would not worry about it so much, there is no caffeine and no ephedrine contained in those pills.
