New Birth Control

I have my yearly visit to the doctor at the end of this month and was going to ask for a different birth control-- preferably something that will give me less periods or lighter periods (like seasonal or yaz).  I am currently on zovia and have been on yasmin and sprintec in the past.

Does anyone have any experience with seasonal/yaz/ or another form of birth control that will limit my periods?  If so, what are the side effects?  Did you like it?

Thanks!

Hi,
About Yasmine - I was happy with it overall. I don't remember any mood problems on it, my breasts were bigger which is always nice, my skin looked great and my periods were regular and fine. I don't remember having cramps or being very bloated. I did feel like it lowered my "libido" (I hate using that word), but I was also hypothyroid at the time, so that may have been why. Overall, I'd recommend it. I didn't gain weight on it.

What did you think of Yasmin? I have just been put on a trial for it.
You can get an injection called Depo vera (or aroundabouts I think). I used to have it a few years back. It stops your period all together and you have it every 3 months or so. (You have to have a needle though!)
I found it good, no probs at all. I just got off it as I was worried about not having a period for so long and though it was meddling with my body.
I have a friend that's on it now and had been for years and she's still happy on it.

Hi,
I am on LoEstrin24, but will be switching back to Yasmin next month. I am bloated on LoEstrin an my periods aren't 3 days like LoEstrin claims. I do know people who love LoEstrin though. My friend is a Nurse Practitioners...her fave pill to prescribe is Yaz. She said it has a diuretic, so there is little water weight gain.
