ahhh yes, thanks a lot. you made me feel better too.
I was pretty sure that is the case during the week of placebo pills, I also read that there are enough hormones built up from taking the pill for 21 consecutive days that you are protected.
and for you, same goes. nothing to worry about. as long as there was no visible defect with the condom, and it didnt come off inside of you, you'll be fine.
um thank you. I feel so much better and relieved. I read your Q and I had a familiar Q when I went to see my Dr for Alesse refill. I asked IF I was still protected during that week and she said yes because I was on b/c for more than 2 wks. She also mentioned it was safe to have sex with no condom(if you knew the person was "clean") but that it would have been much better to use another method of birth control; wheather it be condoms, spermicide, ect. I asked wheather I would get pregnant during that time and she mentioned no that I was still protected. But you see....I did feel comfy with her answer. Though IF it makes you feel better you should contact your doctor. They know you more and they know you medical history.
(ahh sorry b/c time..hehe)
I hope my replied helped a bit :) good luck!
If you skipped the sugar pills and started a new pack then you will not get your period this month, you will skip it.
no, you will not be pregnant. do not worry, just keep taking your pills at the same time everyday and you will get your period next month.
while on the topic of sugar pills, I have question I'd really like answered and hate starting a new convo.
are you still protected from pregnancy during the week of placebo, or no pills??? I had sex on the day of my last pill. I'm sure that I am still protected from pregnancy during the placebo week, but I'd like someone to verify that. Jjety??? you've had experience with bcps.
The packets that come with my bcp's say you don't need to use a backup method during the 7 day placebo week. Is it because you take a full 21 days of pills?
ok I appreciate those answers. so the chances of missing my prd are kinda high.
Well then what explains the fact that I been having to use fem.napkins on and off(it comes bk and it goes away)? (sorry TMI). I been releasing brownish/black gooey rather than my usual. I'm not sure if this is cause by the b/c. I noticed before I started b/c or having sex that I would start my prd that way and then I would start the normal bleeding. I been having cramps, I break out; all the other things I get when I'm about to start. My Dr. doesnt open up again until 5th and I have no other way to find out the A's to my Q's. Last time I had sex was about 9 days ago, he used a condom and at that time I was on b/c for about 2.5 wks. If the condom didnt rip, and I have been taking b/c as directed; I cant be pregnant right? O_o
Thanks!! :)
It isn't a problem to not have a period, you will just have a slightly stronger one when you get to the sugar pills the next month. If you did this for months on end it would be a problem, but not once, especially with the doctor advising you.
