Im 16 wks . My 1st pregnancy. I have not felt any movement yet and im terrified of miscarrying. I also have a small discomfort (a little pain- on a scale of 1-10 maybe a 2) in my lower left pelvic area. I am very gassy but ive had this discomfort for 2days. No spotting. I do have a headache i cant get rid of. Should i call a doctor?

If you know what you are feeling for, you might even be able to feel it sooner. It's like a little flutter deep down in your tummy. I don't think being overweight has anything to do with it. I was overweight with my kids and I felt my first at about 12 weeks. I think most women ignore this, or are too busy with other things to notice such a small movement, but it is possible. As the fetus gets bigger, the flutter will begin to feel more like gas moving through your intestines, and then before you know it, you'll be starting down at your growing tummy and watching as little elbows, knees, hands and feet glide accross the surface. (Hours of quality entertainment, I tell you!!!)

I started to feel it at 13-14 weeks and he is my first.  I am also overweight so i was suprised that i felt it so early.  Usually thinner people feel movement earlier, from what i've read.

They say that you may feel movement a little earlier if you've had a pregnancy before. Normally it's around 16-18 weeks, I think. Maybe you're a little further off?

most fetal movement starts about 16 weeks.  If this is a second or third fetal movement can be felt about 13 or 14 weeks.  What your feel is more than likely the baby.  Not all movement feels like bubbles.  Good Luck and congrads on the pg.

I think it is possible, I think fetal movements start at around 16 weeks, that was around the time I first felt my daughter move..Your baby maybe moving early, or you could be further along than 14 weeks..good luck!
