If you're only 5 weeks pregnant, it's not unheard of that you simply didn't have enough of the pregnancy hormone HCG built up to register on a pregnancy test yet.  Or your levels may still be so low for other reasons that it isn't showing up in your urine.  You will probably have more testing done to make sure the pregnancy progresses normally, and to keep your diabetes under control.

I went back and read your original post and i think this is a perfect example of

THE PULL OUT METHOD DOESNT WORK!! ;-)

Congratulations on your pregnancy... The doctors will monitor you and make sure that your sugars are ok.  they will probably adjust whatever treatments you are currently undergoing..  You will be closely monitored and considered a high risk pregnancy.  (lots of ultrasounds!!)

Congratulations!!

Congratulations.  You'll get through this.  I'm sure you will be closely monitored due to the type 2.  You might want to consult with a nutritionist who deals with type 2 to make sure your sugar levels stay good.  I don't have type 2, and I remember that during both my pregnancies, your sugar can go a little crazy along with the cravings.  There were a few instances when I felt like I was bottoming out.  Good luck, and keep us posted!

Is there any news on why you started bleeding? Being 5 weeks, that's very scary. It's too early to see a heartbeat, but I'm sure in the next 2 weeks you'll have another ultrasound. I really hope everything is going okay with your little baby. You say you're not ready, but if you think that you are somewhere inside you, then listen to it. Life will change in the next 9 months, and you'll slowly prepare yourself for it.
I really hope the best.. I'm afraid to say 'congrats' because I dont know what your situation is... If it's a good thing, or a bad.. Or what you're going to do about it.
Keep us posted. I wish the best for you and your little one.
Take Care

Wow..first of all..i apologize for telling you that you wouldn't feel symptoms of pg. this early.  I guess you know your better very well!!
I know there were some questions earlier about you not wanting to be pregnant...how are you emotionally?  I know its "new" news and you're trying to deal with it, but how do you really feel?
Keep us posted.
