PLEEAASE HELP

ok so I'm really freaking out here...about march of this year I had gotten very itchy "down there" so I just tried to deal with it and I kept scratching and messing with it well when I went to the dr he took one look and said I looked fine then I showed him one small white sore ( I figured from me constantly scratching very hard) and he told me without a doubt it was herpes...I never had anything like that before..well I got blood tested and I came back pos for hsv 1 which I've always gotten little sores in my mouth..the itching came back about a month later and after finding out I had been pregnant so I went to the er and was diagnosed with bv (bact. vaginosis) they treated it and it was fine..and couldve been the cause of the itching all along I hope.which brings me to now about a week ago I had shaved  my pubic area to get ready for the OB appointment, two days later I noticed a large hard swollen bump at the very bottom of the pubic area it was white in the middle so with everything I had I squeezed it. nothing happened. later I looked again and it looked open and raw like I had squeezed and rubbed the  skin off... its been 5 days and its not healing the swelling under the skin is going down but its still an open sore and after a hot bath or compress a little yellow pus come out but it won't heal possibly because its pretty moist where its at...my question and fear is if the dr was right and I do have genital herpes or could it be something else?  I blame my past experience with one little tiny sore and itching to the bv and being pregnant and not knowing but I have no clue what this sore is.. could it be an ingrown that I caused to get infected or what please help me I'm so worried.

It kind of sounds like a sebaceous cyst. There is a website called MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia. It tells you what a sebaceous cyst is and why and where you can get them.I do know you can get them in the pubic area. Some people are prone to get them on a regular basis.I had to have one removed from under my arm.I had it for years and sometimes it wouldn't hurt and then it would get big and I could get blood and pus out of it.I finally got sick of having it so I had it removed.Shaving your pubic area can cause ingrown hairs and you can get awfully big, sore bumps from that.Be gentle with it.The more you scratch it and try to pop it can only aggravate it more. The hot compress is good.Washing with an antibacterial soap also.I'd go back to the doctor too.
