Pain after losing virginity

I am 19 years old and a few weeks ago I lost my virginity. About a week later, I started experiencing pain just within my vagina. sometimes it feels like a painful itch. it doesn't burn when i urinate and i cannot see any open sores or anything. is this pain normal, will it go away on its own? the uncomfortable pain comes and goes and this has been happening for the past week. should i see a doc?

I bled a bit my first time and it hurt for a couple days afterward. Not bad pain just a little sting every now and again. Did you bleed at all?
