Paxil withdrawls...please help!
Does anyone know of any way to reduce the withdrawl symptoms of Paxil? I was taking 20 mg a day and have been quit for 2 days. (cold turkey) I am EXTREMLY dizzy all the time. And feel like in a coma when sleeping with very vivid dreams. I sometimes get severe panic attacks and remind myself to breathe. Never had panic attacks before. Any suggestions would be nice. Continueing this drug is Not an option and I will not consider taking even one more pill. Thanks for any help
It is best to wean off with drs help, stopping anti depressants can cause seritonin to uptake rapidly and cause a deep bad depression...tapering is easy..ask your dr..usually skip severy other day or cut [pill in 1/2 etc...always becareful discontinuing medications especially psych meds,,
btw I was in hospital got switched to wellburtin was weaned off paxil (10 years of use ) by a proffesional psyc in 3 days...I had no bad reactions at all.

I had a horrible time quitting paxil...mood swings, vivid dreams, panic attacks, brain zaps, dizzyness, etc..I went to the doctor about it and he said I would have to take lower and lower doses until I could finally stop. Other than doing that I guess you would just have to tough it out. i would suggest seeing a doctor tho
