Pregnancy..Periods..Miscarriage

I'm just wondering how often women get pregnant a few days before their period? Reason being on March 27th of last year I got pregnant 2 days before my period. I went on to have the normal bleeding at the normal time, and then when I got the ultrasound found out that was the date I concieved. 12 weeks later I suffered a devastating miscarriage that ruined that relationship. Now over a year later I've started trying for a family again. I had sex on Saturday and started bleeding on Tuesday morning. So I was just wondering what kind of odds I'm against here, as my boyfriend and I can only see eachother every couple of weeks..usually before my period is to come. Thank you anyone who has anything to offer =)

Generally you do not conceive before you period starts, but it depends on when you personally ovulate. On a perfect 28 day cycle you would ovulate 2 weeks before your period starts. If you want to start a family, I would recommend getting OPK's. They will help to tell you when you're ovulating and when the best times to have sex are.
