Period or not?

I recently had sex with my boyfrined for the first time a few days ago. We were both virgins and we used a condom. The day after, I got my period, well I THINK I did. Its early for me to have it this time of the month, and its running longer than usual. Is this my period or a sign that something went wrong?? Im so worried!!

i went to the doctor and got a pap test about 3 weeks ago now. i have yet to get the results back in but i have had sex two more times after the first, and things are slowly going back to normal. i think it was just my body's reaction to having sex for the first time is all.

There is something else I thought about and thought I would mention as well, some people have reactions to latex (condoms) could be a allergic reaction to it? or even maybe a yeast infection?   you could check with the pharmacy and maybe there is one thats good for sensative skin. Other than that maybe you could check with your doctor and get them to check your uterus and cervix and pap test.

Hope this helps

It started off heavier than usual but i think its because having sex for the 1st time can trigger that. but it ended today which i am so releived about! but during my period it was sort of difficult to insert a tampon at some times. so when i was in the shower i kinda checked it out (not that i was masterbating just trying to see what was going on) and my vagina was really..inflamed? This is so weird for me i usually have no problem getting a tampon up there at all. ahhhh!!

Well if you are a virgin it is normal during first time intercourse that there is some blood, I know sometimes having intercourse just before your period can trigger periods to come but thats just me. Stress can also cause your period start earlier as well, but if you are concerned and it lasts  longer then you could check the doctor and he may suggest going on the pill to regulate your periods.
Did your period start of as usual, heavier, lighter?
I wouldnt be to worried about it.
