Possible UTI?

Lately I've been feeling a slight discomfort/burning type of sensation only after I have sex. This lasts for a few days afterward and I feel like I have to pee a lot, even if it's only the smallest amount. I've looked it up and some of the symptoms are related to a UTI, but I think I may just be allergic to the material in the condoms or something. Should I do a home test for a UTI just to be sure before going to a doctor??

I wonder if it may have anything to do with the frequency of when I have sex. It's usually almost every weekend for the past two months and with the same guy and 98% it's with a condom but ocassionally it's not (kinda stupid, I know). Sometimes lube is used, sometimes not so maybe it's the friction that's making me feel uncomfortable afterwards??
But yeah they have home UTI test strips that they sell at Walgreens so I might do one if it stays persistent.

It does sound like a UTI. Especially if you feel like you need to pee but ends up being a tiny bit at times. If it has something to do with the condom , your vagina would probably swell up . I've never heard of a home test for UTI but do it. Drinking cranberry juice (not cran cocktail) helps with uti's. Same with cranberry pills. Drink plenty of water, always go pee after sex (this helps prevent uti's ) , if it keeps happening you may need antibiotics .
