I had a bilateral mastectomyMastectomy Mastectomy - series and tram flap August 2008. I began chemo in September 08. I had pain in my upper right abdomin (abdomen) in Nov. 08 and a scan of my gallbladder revealed it wasn't functioning, so it was removed. Pain subsided immediately. In June 2009, I began having similar pain in my upper right abdomin (abdomen) and had 2 CT scans, upper and lower GIs referred to a GI Doc and general surgeon. None of the docs seem to know what is causing the pain. It comes and goes and has no real relation to any foods I eat or physical exertion. When the pain attack hits me (2 to 4 times per week), it lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours. It is intense and debilitating. It is located in the exact spotBirthmarks - pigmented Liver spots Measles, koplik spots - close-up Mongolian blue spots of my gallbladder location (and about 1/2 inch from my appendixAppendectomy - mine is higher than most peoples, I guess) and my appendixAppendectomy has been ruled to be healthy. The doctors have decided that it is residual pain from my surgeries. I'm not buying it.
Any ideas? Or anyone else suffering from chronic spastic pain?
