YAY!!! I Got Great News......

I just took one of those HPT's this morning with an expiration date of Feb 2017 and it says to hold it in your urine stream for 5 seconds then lay it on a flat surface for 2 minutes but the result immediately showed up as positive before the 2 minute time wait was up. Is their a small chance that it could be a false positive?
Im asking because I wanna make sure before I break the news to baby's father and my family.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe im just being paranoid because it has a lengthy time from now til the expiration date. Those two lines on that read positive popped up pretty quickly. I wanna wait a couple of weeks then retest again to confirm the first test and if it reads positive again im scheduling a doctor's appointment

If you want to double check take a clear blue test as it tells you if you pregnant or not and if you are it also tells you how far along you are. If you are you can then tell the baby's father, go to the doctors as well to inform your doctor and tell your family.
