TTC and hoping I didn't miss the prime time...

Good morning,
My dh and I have been really ttc this month and I bought the opk's and it went + on mon. 3/27, we bd that night but did not bd again until today (dh working too many hours and was tired)I was hoping that i didn't miss my fertile period.  We did bd on 3/18,19,21,24,25,and 26 also.  I read that you are most fertile the 5 days leading up to O, is that true? And if so do I have a pretty good chance of getting pregnant this month do you think?  Any advice would be wonderful! Thanks, and baby dust to those TTC:)

After getting a LH surge, you should O within the next 12 to 48 hours.  You have a better chance to conceive when you have spermies in your body waiting for the egg to be released.  Also, you need to have good quality cm to keep the spermies alive.  They can live up to 5 days if you have good cm.
With you situation, you got LH on the 27th so you could O between the 27th to the 29th.  I'd say you have a good cahnce.  I only BD 2 days before I Oed and I am now 7 weeks pregnant.  Just remember not to stress yourself out too much if you don't conceive right away.  There are only 20%-25% of conception rate for every cycle for healthy couples.
Good Luck!

You are welcome.  Do you take BBT?  It's a great tool to tell you where you are in your cycle.  It also confirms if you indeed O.  Sometimes even there's LH surge there might not be an egg released so BBT can ensure of that.  I have my prenatal visit tomorrow, I am excited, I hope everything goes well.  We saw a hb last week and I look forward to see a stronger one tomorrow.
BABY DUST.

Well, good luck at your dr appt, I am sure everything will be great!  I actually have just started tracking my bbt, and there was a dip in temp. tues. and wed and today it has started to rise back up.  But I have only been doing it for a week so I don't think it is very accurate, and I have nothing to compare it to.  I had a dip in temp last week too so i bd just in case.  But like I said I don't know if it's right or not.  I have had a + opk for this whole week, what could that mean? I have never actually TRIED tc so this is all really new to me and I hope I am doing everything right!
