Pregnancy after Mirena

I had the mirena in for 2 yrs 11 months.  It came out in February and I have been having food cravings and I have felt movement in my stomach but all the tests I have taken has come back negative.  What should I do?  I have talked to a family friend which happens to be a doctor and he said it is possible for me to be pregnant.

Yes it is possible you may be pregnant! :)
I am 19 yrs old and had the IUD mirena for a year and had it removed due to complications in april this year. Within 1 month I felt as though I was pregnant, had all the symptons just like you.Doctors said it was just my body getting back into its normal routine... I knew I was pregnant as I have been in the past. All urine tests showed up negative, though the night before I was going to go in for my blood test I miscarried. This was just within the last 2 weeks. The doctors are saying that because of me having the iud removed due to complications this may be the reason on why I miscarried. They are now considering endometriosis. The iud would have caused this which may lead me not being able to carry a baby inside me any longer. Best advice is to go get a blood test, or go see a specailist.
Good Luck :)

I had my mirena removed in mid June and then started bleeding for a week. Its is now the last week of august and no period. Ived taken two pregnancy tests but they all tested negative. How long does it take to get pregnant? Ived had frequent headaches and back aches once in a while. Ived also been feeling really tired it may be that Im pregnant but don't know.

I had the mirena (for almost 5 years) I had it taken out last february, and fell pregnant in the march (just 1 month later) I now have a gorgeous 8 month old daughter :) so i think the answer is YES is possible for you to be pregnant, i'd say go see your doc they can do a blood test which can confirm it, alot more reliable than urine tests.

you should get a blood test from a doctor but none of the things you mentioned made me think you were pregnant i guess your period hasn't returned?  thats normal for some women the movement could be gas and the food cravings could be you returning to normal after the hormones leaving your body i got pregnant within 2 weeks of having mine removed i did get a couple of negative tests when i was pregnant but that was just because it was early about a month after having it removed i got a positive so unless you just got pregnant there is no reason for you to be getting a negative pregnancy tests still but if you feel like your pregnant then you should get the blood test and see what it says good luck
