Why is my period late?

This past year or so I've been getting my period the first or second week of the month and they would usually last up to a week. But this month I am late almost 2 weeks now. I am 18 and a virgin any suggestions as to what it going on? Trying not to freak out here.

Hello there.  Periods can often be late and for a variety of reasons.  Stress, changes in routine, weight loss or gain, illness or change of seasons or really just about anything can disrupt hormones a bit making our cycle a bit longer.  It is nothing to worry about and happens to all women from one time or another.  Please don't worry.  good luck
