Pregnant After D&C?

I was 9 weeks pregnant and went in for my second appointment. The doctor sadly confirmed that I was having a miscarriage. It shocked me, and I was scheduled for a d&c the following Monday. The doctor said to wait 4 weeks, but me and my boyfriend had sex a week later and have been active ever since. When I went to my follow up on Jan 5 I did blood tests and everything, including pregnancy came back negative. I did not experience a normal period. Was I supposed to bleed heavily or not? I like spotted for 3 days. Ive had sex twice with my boyfriend since and both times he left it in. It wad our first child together, and we really want to conceive again. Could I be pregnant with a healthy pregnancy?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
After a D&C, a new lining will build up in the uterus. Your next menstrual period may not occur at the regular time. It may be early or late. Moreover, the date of ovulation cannot be predicted after a D&C.That is why it is recommended not to have sexual intercourse for at least 1 week, or longer as advised by your health professional.

To confirm whether you are pregnant or not, please do urine for pregnancy test at your place. For this, OTC pregnancy kits are available. Confirmatory diagnosis can be made after an ultrasound abdomen.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
