i dont think u can go under anesthesia while being pregnant.ask your dr.
i agree with the first post, check with both dr's to see what you can do while pregnant, science is a wonderful thing and they may have a safe way to do surgery while pregnant now. I wish you the best.
Hi, I work in an operating theatre and we sometimes give pregnant women an anaesthetic. They will alter the anaesthetic though. Sometimes they can do knee surgery under a spinal or epidural, which is okay for baby, its what they do ceaserean sections with. Good luck.
I agree with sares. It will be up to you and the doc to decide what is best for both of you. If the surgery is risky to the baby then bedrest may be ordered to keep you off of your feet, and knee. Or maybe just postpone the procedure until the baby is in a less risky phase of development since I am guessing you are early in your first trimester.
Good luck and I hope all goes well for both of you!
