Probability of Conception with light period

I am 24. My dear husband and I haven't used any method of birth control for 1 year and 2 months now.  Any signs of a little one on the way are very exciting for me.  (I've become somewhat of a peestickoholic :) heehee
Welcome to my journey this month: My cycle is usually about 30 to 34 days long.  Exactly 14 days after I "might" have conceved I had some brown spotting (implantation??) but- (HPT had a weird blotch of color where the positive test line should have appeared, oh the suspense!!)  Then two neg. HPT the next day. (too early to test?) My  spotting turned into a little bit heavier reddish stuff. And here I am on 18 DPO. The bleeding has stopped.  Not a normal period for me at all.   Should I trust the results of a HPT at this point? It's been 3 days since I've tested, should I give it another try? I've heard that some women still have a small amount of bleeding in the first few months of pregnancy, and even further, I've heard of some getting neg. test results far into the first weeks of prenancy.  Any comments are appreciated!!  Also, to anyone who is in the same boat as me-- www.twoweekwait.com has some great stuff!!!!  Baby dust to all!!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated, I took another HPT yesterday, and it was negative.  And now my period is starting to look normal.  Oh well, maybe this month we'll have better luck. Good luck out there to everyone TTC!!!!

Thanks!!  I think I'll test again today when I get home.  I've also been really naustiated lately.  I think a lot more women have bleeding during the first month of pregnancy than what is documented.  Thanks again for your comment!!  I'll let you know.
