Worried i stoped taking BC

I stop taking birth control and my period came within 3 days after I stopped taking it and I read on the internet that after you stop you will not have a period for up to 4 months. Should I be worried about this? Another thing is that I should of not started untill the begining of next month that is when I have my period every month is in the first weekend of the month.

What you described is normal, when you stop taking the pill you get a withdrawl bleed within a few days, I have never heard of your period taking up to 4 months to start post pill. I don't think you have anything to worry about!

I agree with sares. I have also never heard of it taking 4 months to resume having oeriods after stopping the pill. Maybe Depo or another form of BC but not the pill. I suppose it may for some, but I wouldn't call it usual or the norm..
I think you are just fine and will probably become regulated and having a normal cycle within a month or so. If you do have any problems or concerns, don't hesitate to pick up the phone and call the Doc. That's what he's there for.
No worries--J

I have never heard of not having a period for 4 months after stopping the pill, what website was that? Sometimes it takes a while for them to become regular especially if you were not regular before.
