Really painful rash....... someone show me light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

I am writing today because i am very worried about someone i developed about a week ago. About a weeek ago when i got my menstruation, i developed a painful rash at  the area between the end of my vagina ( surrounding area) all the way to the buttocks. I figured it was because of the pad that i was wearing and because i went dancin the night before and sweated a lot down there and stuff. Well, the morning after, i decide to take a look at my rash and saw that it was VERY red, flesh colored and it hurt A LOT, so i began to put diaper rash oninment on it and the pain is gone, but the redness it still very much there, but it seems dry now.Well, i also noticed that i have 2 sores on each side of the labia (kind of like the tears u get from havig unlubricated sex) that sting like hell. I am very afraid that this might be an STD or something horrile like that, but i am hoping that it is from the kotex. I havent had sex for about 2 weeks so it couldnt be form that either. If anybody has any idea what this might be, please help me out. I am very depressed and aggravated because i have no clue whta this could be. Thank you for reading my post and God bless!!

I agree that it sounds like it is the pad. I get Very irratated wearing them but tampons are "OH MY GOSH" unconfortable to me. So what I do is change it more often, especially if you are sweating ( i do at work at the hospital do to some pts rooms and walking sssoo much) also try diferant kinds, it has been 8 months, no 9 months since I bought some so now of course I forget which are which, but  some have that NEW type cover on them and I CAN NOT use them at all. Like I said you may have to just try a few different kinds before you find the ones you can use. Good luck and God bless.

based upon what you described, i do think you just have a rash from the pad. i will wear pads at night. after a couple nights and of wiping, it hurts!! its all red w. a rash and areas are raised. it totally goes away after the flow slows and when i dont wear a pad. maybe continue w. the "diaper rash" cream. thats what i call it.. im 36 and i have a diaper rash!! an aveeno bath may help. you can get that at any drug store.
