Is my hymen microperforate?

I am 17 years old, officially started my period last year. I've always had difficulty putting anything up my vagina as it is quite painful. There is this layer of membrane covering my vaginal opening and it seems as though there is no opening at all. However, I've read other forums online saying that some women can't see their holes and have no hymen. So which is my case? I would post a photo but I don't think there is that option on this website
