Spotting for about 1 month

Hi,

I'm 18 years old and I've been spotting for about 1 month now, sometimes it's brown/dark red discharge and sometimes its bright red blood. Somedays it is so light that i thought it would stop the next day, but it doesnt! I hardly have to use a pad, only used panty-liners. I'm worried because it has been a month and it still havent stopped yet. My periods were very normal before. What might be wrong? Anyone had this problem before and went to doctors to check? Thanks in advance.

I have a friend that was like that she left it go and 3 months later it got to the point where she was bleeding havier so bad she had to have a blood transfusion. Come to find out she had some kind of blood infection So they gave her medicine and changed her to a certain kind of birth control and shes not had the problem again she is also free from medicin so she is going to start trying to get pregnant. Anyway you might want to go to the doctor just to be safe. Good Luck

I havent had sex in a like 4 months now, so there's no chance I'm pregnant.
