Still spotting

Hi...I am a 43 yr old woman I had my  period for 2 weeks about a week ago I stopped and 2 day later I started to spot red again and it has been a week since I have been like this....is this normal for my age?am I going thru menapause?

You could be. Your doctor can give you a test to see for sure though. At 45 yrs. old I had excessive bleeding. My period would last approx. 13 days. Since I didn't want to have anymore children I opted to have the DaVinci Hysterectomy. It was the best thing I ever did. I still have both ovaries and have yet to go through menopause. Are you on any new birth control pills? If so that could be the problem. If not it does sound like it could be a hormonal imbalance. Have you had a recent PAP smear? You might want to ask the doctor about that too. Menopause comes at different times for everyone.

It could be kind of hormonal imbalance, or your cycles starting to change. I would maybe see your doctor for blood work.
