TERRIFIED

I am currently on birth control and one day I forgot to take my pill but me and my boyfriend had sex multiple times and he ejaculated inside of me. I continued taking my pills but I am now 6 days late on my period. Am I pregnant? Could I be?

Hi Kara, I'm a pediatrician so I work with lots of teens and period related problems. I would definately recommend taking a pregnancy test or consulting your doctor. Missing your period by 1 sometimes 2 days is normal and getting your period earlier is completely normal. But missing your period by more than 3-4 days definately is not normal and I would take further action to see if you're pregnant or not. That one day off birth control can result in you becoming inpregnated.
