This is my question

This is the real question. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on monday. Yesterday I noticed I had alittle spotting. I have been on Alesse 28 birth control pill since about a YEAR! ago. I had gotten spotting before and I did call the pharamsist and she said thats normal. But I still have about 3 days of pink pills to do before im suppose to start my period. Can someone tell me if thats normal? Because it does happen once in a blue moon

As soon as you quit taking BCP its shouldnt affect you getting pregnant no matter how long you have taken them.  When you quit taking them the hormones leave your body.  Thats why it is important to take them the same time every day as directed, it lessens your change of becoming pregnant.

If you are not having AF or you are experiencing break through bleeding reuglarly then you most likely need a different BC.  Alesse has the lowest amount of hormones so you probably need one that has a little more hormones in it.  Spotting is a side effect of BC but it has never occured to me, I was also on Alesse for about a year.  AF was not regular in June or July of this year and I quit taking the BC in August because my husband and I are TTC. But since then I have not had a regular AF just some spotting so I am now on Provera and we will see how that works.  But go to the doctor and get it checked out.

Your birth control might now be strong enough.  I would check with your doc and see if there is one with a higher dosage.  I personaly never had spotting while I was on the pill.

yeah I thought that but I called my dr. and of course im getting not the dr but a nurse and he said its not working for you but the thing is spotting is a symptom lol.

And i ask him so it is a possibility that im pregnant he says no there no way but remember now they arent working for my body and I went to the dr and i have asked her this before and she said its normal because its a symptom

I am sorry but what does AF stand for? Yeah I will but is there really any chance that I could get pregnant well I know theres always that chance but Im just wondering. And is it true when you are on the pill for awhile it is hard to get pregnant if you just stop taking them?
