Spotting/Periods after IUD removal

I had my IUD removed on 8-5-06 (in for 1.5 yrs), I am ttc.  On 8-7 I started what I thought was a period.  Bleeding/cramps and some clots. Then light bleeding and spotting until 8-23. Then I got my period? on 9-13. Lasting until 9-18. Then on 9-29 spotting brown, then pink then some thick slimy dark clots. Still spotting pink/red. I am so confused.  I need to make a dr appt but I keep thinking things will start to be normal. Before my son I was on the pill for 8 years with normal cycles. I still breastfeed my son 2 times a day. Would appreciate any advice/similar stories. Thanks.

I got my IUD taken out 2/26 after 2.5 years. I had a period 3weeks later as normal. I just started my period for the second time after having it out (3/24) and have had lots blood clots- one that was about 2 inches in radius. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I had my copper T removed in July.  My periods are still very heavy.  They are somewhat clotty.  The strangest thing is that I can be on day 4 and not hardly bleeding and then when I sit on the toilet the blood just seems to drop out.  Does anyone know why?  This is my 4th period since removal and while it is somewhat better  it is still weird.
