Vagina tear

I am 18 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 6-7 months. I had sex for the first time last night, it was slightly painful at the start and there was a little blood which I thought was normal as I was a virgin. The next morning I went for a shower and realised there was a small amount of blood (sent bled since) and I saw I had a tear in the opening of my vagina. There is no pain in general or when I urinate, it's just a little uncomfortable. Where it had actually torn there is a white layer, is this the tear healing itself or is it a sign of infection? Also the tear is 1-2 cm long, is that average?
