I am a nutritionist and yes, drinking cranberry juice or eating cranberries helps get rid of UTI's..... and eating yogurt will help get rid of yeast infections. Sounds like you possibly have a UTI from sex which is a known cause of UTI's. I agree with the cranberry advice, but if symptoms do not change, definitely go see a doc. You don't want to let anything make havoc on that area.
Thanks, I think I'll try the cranberry juice first and try to clear it up myself first since I just recently went to the doctor. I've had uti in the past but didn't feel any pain with it and the only symptom I had was frequent urination.
hi, i had the same thing about two months ago. i went to the dr. and i didn't have an std or uti. i was convinced that i had a uti because i have had one before and it felt the same. they wouldn't prescribe me anything so i drank lots of cranberry juice. i drank containers of it days at a time for about 5 days and it was completely gone after the 5th or so day and i have not had any of those symptoms since.
hi, i recently had the same problem (pain in my lower abdomen and pelvis area ) i was tested for a uti and thats what was causing the symptoms. I dont think you symtoms are std related sounds like a uti to me but its best to ask your doctor to test for a uti infection. good luck :-)
