Hi there and welcome to the forum. My guess is that you may have bacterial vaginosis. For this, you need to see your doctor and take medication to eradicate it. It is very common in women. So, for this, you'll want to check in with your doctor and get properly diagnosed. Lots of luck to you!
A vaginal discharge that is the cause of a fungal infection are usually white, and sometimes there is no discharge at all, but the surrounding skin may be affected by a fungal infection. This would cause itchiness and sometimes soreness. You can get a fungal infection from using antibiotics, having a very sugary diet, having diabetes that is not controlled, when the PH level is not right.
In the case of fungal infections, like Thrush, you can buy over the counter antifungal creams and also a one dose oral capsule from the pharmacist.
Use of any soaps or bubble baths and the like should be avoided. Also wear cotton underwear and avoid wearing tight clothing like tights and trousers because these cause sweating and fungus love dark, moist and damp places and if the PH balance is not right down below.
Yellowy and smelly discharge is usually caused by bacterial vaginosis and this is confirmed by a swab by the doctor and the correct medication prescribed. Again, like Thrush this thrives when the PH balance is not right down below.
Possible yeast infection. You don't have to be sexually active to develop this, as it is caused by the natural ph balance in your vagina to become unbalanced by several possible things (not saying I think you do these things, just for info) like not keeping it clean well or often enough, using douches, wearing tight pants, and not wearing COTTON underwear. You should be seen by a doctor or gyn to be treated. You can TRY over the counter meds, but you want to be sure of th diagnosis before doing so, and there is no way to tell that unless you see a doctor... remember, I'm guessing here, and I could be wrong. In the meantime, while you wait to see a doctor, it would never hurt to keep the area clean and dry regularly, avoid douches, wear cotton underwear, and wear loose pants, or skirts or dresses. Blessings - Blu
Having a clear "discharge" which is the body's natural lubricating fluid is normal.
Having a yellowish discharge is not normal, nor is a fishy or abnormal to you smell
You may have bacterial vaginosis and a doctor can do a simple swab to detect the problem and be able to treat you correctly with the appropriate medication.
Do not use soaps or vaginal sprays or deodorants as this will make the condition much worse.
Best wishes
