Vomiting over period cramps?

The day I got my period and I was ready to go to sleep I got some moderate pain in my stomach from period cramps. So I tried my best to fall asleep and finally did. When I woke up I was pain free and felt great. But an hour later I was beginning to have moderate pain again. Another hour later I was having severe pain and going to the bathroom frequently. I was crying because no position changed the pain in any way. An hour and a half later I threw up stomach acid multiple times and the pain resided and was gone completely 2 hours later. I've never had cramps this bad before (I'm 14 so not much experience) and is it normal to throw up? Or was it not cramps because I don't know exactly what they feel like

I'm taking doxycycline to help with my acne and I also know that birth control can help too. If I take these at the same time will it be dangerous?

Anything with Ibuprofen in it should help since things are swollen, same with heat.  Sometimes Acetaminophen helps but, overall, I find Advil helps.  You'll have to play around because what works for one person doesn't necessarily help another.  Sometimes people will vomit from cramps, but birth control can help reduce the effect of them as the above poster mentioned.

I would definitely take Midol or Tylenol, I get horrible cramps to the point where I am also throwing up from pain and rolling around on the floor. Midol seems to help me a ton. I would also maybe talk to my parents about possibly getting on birth control pills to help with the cramps -- that was suggested to me and just because you are on birth control doesn't mean that you are or have to be sexually active but it does help. Good luck hun!

Also what helps cramps? I don't think heat will help me because whenever I'm sick I put a cold wash cloth on my forehead instead of a warm one (don't know which one is normal, my friend just thought it was weird I used a cold one).
