Wanting to get pregnant

9 years ago I had my tubes tied because I have two children. I met my husband about a year ago and he has indicated to me that he wants a son or daughter of his own. We have discussed that he wants me to continue to have my tubes tied but would like to look at options of getting IVF (invitro).

Do I need my tubes untied to carry to full term?

Is there anything that I should need to know before moving forward with IVF?

Is there anyone out there who can share a similar story if not the same?

What is an RE? I am still pretty new to these terms.

you shouldn't have to untie your tubes as a pregnancy wouldn't involve your tubes if it's IVF.
I would recommend finding a local re and setting up at least a consult...
best of luck~

If you're doing IVF, I do not believe you need to have your tubes untied. I think it would be a good idea for you and your husband to set up a consultation with an RE. He or she will be able to give you all the information you need to move forward. Good luck!
